Selecting a contractor for your building automation needs is a big decision for building owners. More often than not this decision is made for an owner by others, generally resulting from the design and the bid process for construction or a remodel. That said, the result is something the owner may need to live with (good or bad) for the next 20 years.
Often an equipment manufacturer or a large control contractor, generally with a proprietary control system, will work with an engineer to design a new system, resulting often in being favored (as they should be) in the specifications. The end result of this is an owner may be stuck with one company for the foreseeable future and the obvious high costs of only being able to call one company for their needs.
We offer what is called an open system using non-proprietary communication protocols, and compatible with any brand of Niagara 4 software. We can allow access to the on-board programming tools required to modify and maintain the system(s) if desired. Additionally, the systems we install are not territory based, meaning you are not stuck with one contractor, ensuring competitive pricing on service and expansion for the life of the system.
If you find yourself in the position of having a proprietary system and are unsatisfied with the circumstance all may not be lost. Tridium and other developers have developed drivers that can allow communication with many proprietary system devices. In many cases an entire system replacement is not required to get out of this situation.
Whether you are looking to replace a system, are installing a new system, or need help with an existing system, we want to be involved. We are more than happy to work with you to define your needs and provide budgeting to accommodate. We are willing to do the same for your architect or engineer.
